Air and Ground Transportation
The O’Hare International Airport is 12 miles from the Westin Chicago Northwest and the Hyatt Place is approximately 10 miles away. This airport is serviced by all of the major North American airlines, including the following: Air Canada, Air Tran Airways, America West, American, Comair, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Icelandair, KLM, Mesaba, Midwest, Northwest, Pinnacle, SkyWest, Sun Country, United, US Airways.
The Midway International Airport is 27 miles from the Westin Chicago Northwest and the Hyatt Place is approximately 30 away. This airport is serviced by many major North American airlines, including the following: Air Tran, Air Midwest, ATA, ComAir, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Northwest and Southwest.
Complimentary O’Hare Hyatt Place Shuttle Service is available daily from 7AM – 10:00PM, based upon availability. Call the hotel 1-630-875-1400 for information and reservations. (The Westin does not have shuttle service.)

Taxicab rides cost approximately $25 from O’Hare and $45 from Midway. These fees are exclusive of gratuity. Travelers should be sure to use a suburban taxi service, such as All Star Cab,to avoid paying higher fees charged by downtown taxi services.

Area Attractions
The Westin Chicago Northwest hotel, located in the business district of Itasca, Illinois, sits on the edge of a four-acre park that includes extensive pedestrian pathways. Also in the area is Golf Learning Centers of America, a golf driving range. Within a 5-mile radius are several golf courses whose green fees range from $43 to $47 per person.
Also within five miles of the hotel is the famous Woodfield Mall. Woodfield Mall features a fine collection of department stores and specialty shops including Nordstrom, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, JCPenney, Sears and nearly 300 stores and restaurants. The Westin provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the Woodfield Mall. Guests need to schedule a ride through the Front Desk. Taxi service to the mall costs approximately $7-$9 each way.
The METRA rail system covers the greater Chicagoland area. The METRA stop in Itasca is approximately 3 miles from the Westin and the hotel shuttle will drop-off and pick-up guests at no charge. The fee for riding the train from Itasca to Chicago’s Union Station downtown is $4.30 each way. Visit the METRA website (link below) for train schedules and other important information.
