What is Kuali?

Kuali is a growing community of universities, colleges and commercial firms partnering to build and sustain open-source software for higher education, by higher education.

Why Kuali?

Kuali Foundation Community Members pool resources to develop and sustain many of the software systems needed for higher education.  We do this to reduce costs and get systems that better fit our needs.  We freely share our work with the world as that fits the public service mission of colleges and universities.  Why Kuali?  Because collaborative work together shares best practice and insight that reduces costs beyond legacy approaches to purchased software.

Members of the Kuali Community can participate as software producers in helping with the design, software consumers to just make use of the open source software, or both.  Find out more about Joining Kuali.
