The Kuali Coeus Award module, introduced in early 2010, and enhanced since, allows an implementing organization to create and maintain a record of the lifecycle of the award including:
- Important data about the award: sponsor, dates, obligated/anticipated award amounts, and more
- Financial and non-financial modifications: continuation funding, no-cost extensions, deobligations, and more
- Award terms and conditions
- Reporting and invoicing/payment requirements
- Create and maintain award hierarchies to show relationships between parent and children awards, including the ability to copy information from parent awards to child awards
- Award Budget including budget limits, direct costs limits and sync to direct cost limits to help manage approved award budgets
- For organizations using more than one KC module, Awards can be linked with proposals and IRB protocols
