Kuali Coeus Modules

The Kuali Coeus (KC) project organizes both functional and development teams to specify, design, and develop each of the KC modules. Modules assigned to each Release are developed in parallel with multiple teams. Each Release includes with a Full Quality Assurance period to ensure adequate testing, configuration, deployment, and documentation.  Here is our Kuali Coeus Timeline:

Current Release

Release 3.2: Q4 2011 INTERNAL RELEASE ONLY

This internal release includes IRB Catch-up and a preview of the new modules: Conflict of Interest, Subawards, Negotiations, and Report Tracking.  The new modules are not fully QA'd in KC 3.2.

Release 3.1.1: September 2011

Kuali Coeus 3.1.1 contains new integration features with KFS, including Account Inquiry, Account Creation, Budget Adjustment, Effort Certification, and CFDA Number integration.  KC 3.1.1 was released in conjunction with KFS 4.1.1 and Rice 1.0.3.3.  Bug fixes for IRB, Budget, and Award are included in this release. 

Release 3.1: July 2011

Kuali Coeus "catch up" release providing Coeus 4.5 functional equivalency within the Award, Budget, and Proposal Development modules.  This release is a significant milestone for Kuali Coeus in that we will be equivalent with Coeus functionality on the core modules of research administration systems.  This release will also include key integration features with the Kuali Financial System including the ability to automatically create an account upon receiving an award.

Release 5.0: Q3 2012 FUNCTIONAL EQUIVALENCY W/ Coeus 4.5

This release will include the IACUC module, Coeus to KC Conversion Scripts, and BIRT Integration.

Future Kuali Coeus Releases:  Dates TBD

The Kuali Coeus Community (KCC) functional council will prioritize and vote on new functionality and enhancements to be included in later releases. New functionality may include modules for Bio-Safety Management, Export Controls / ITAR Management, and Chemical Tracking.
